Switzerland also directs 63% of all venture capital to deep tech, the highest share of any country in the world, outpacing both China (56%) and the United States (54%) on a per-capita basis, according to the Swiss Deep Tech Report 2026.

AI Diplomacy

That position extends to AI. Switzerland ranks number one globally in AI talent density, according to the Stanford AI Index Report 2026. With advanced supercomputing infrastructure, neutrality and international diplomacy, Switzerland has become a global hub for AI, and will host the official Geneva AI Summit in 2027.
